December 28th was the Feast of the Holy Innocents.
The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him to take baby Jesus and His Mother Mary to Egypt. Herod was planning on killing the Child purely out of jealousy and fear. Since the Magi did not return to give Herod the location of the child he ordered the killing of all baby boys 2 years old and under in Bethlehem and surrounding areas. Joseph trusted God and did as he was told.
These slaughtered little babies were the first little saints. Why? They were murdered in the name of Christ. Why was Herod afraid of this little child, Jesus? Why was he afraid of the source of grace?
Today, millions of innocent babies are being killed by abortions! Why? What are the mothers afraid of? Too ashamed, too selfish, too busy, not the right time, not the right sex of the baby and on and on ...

Last Saturday, PAPA members prayed for two hours in the cold in front of the largest abortion facility in the Western Hemisphere ( only second to China). The building is seven stories tall, 78,000 square feet, and the third floor is dedicated for abortions of pregnancies up to six months. It has the capacity for 75 abortions daily - 6 days a week.
1 in 3 women have an abortion!
Let us pray that those who are troubled by their pregnancy may not be filled with fear but have the grace to trust in God's will and do what is right.
Children are not the property of their parents or of the government. They and we, belong to God Himself.
Let us pray for an end to abortion.
