Gospel

Luke 5:12-16

It happened that there was a man full of leprosy in one of the towns where Jesus was; and when he saw Jesus, he fell prostrate, pleaded with him, and said, “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I do will it.  Be made clean.” And the leprosy left him immediately. Then he ordered him not to tell anyone, but “Go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them.” The report about him spread all the more, and great crowds assembled to listen to him and to be cured of their ailments, but he would withdraw to deserted places to pray.

REFLECTION

“Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.”

Jesus, the Christ, is God made man-the begotten Son of God. Through Christ, God gives us eternal life, His Son. If we don’t possess the Son, we will not have life.

If we love someone, we want to share these good news, humbly praying for conversion of heart and confidently knowing and hoping that God will give Grace to all.

The leper shows us how to pray.

Prostrating before God, he humbly asks, knowing that there is nothing too small nor too big for Him to do or give if it be His will.

We are the leper staring back at us, with a full canvas of deformities, disabilities, darkness, emotional and physical faults because of sin.

No need for a second opinion or AI evaluation. God speaks to us through the Holy Scriptures as well as the magisterium and tradition.

He is calling us, allow Him to touch you, pay Him homage and humbly pray with confidence to be healed and to make a good confession of our sins.

God bless you
