On October 5, 2017 , PAPA was born in the St. Clement Hofbauer's Monastery chapel on the Feast of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos, C.Ss.R. and St. Faustina Kowalska.
In the presence of our Spiritual Director, Father Michael J. Truong Luan Nguyen, C.Ss.R. and three other priests, a brother of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, three directors were consecrated to the mission of PAPA through the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Thus Priest Always-Prayer Apostolate began and has grown to 311 members worldwide and still growing. Our membership spans these countries Venezuela, Australia, Pakistan, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Guadalcanal, Italy, Nigeria, Philippines, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, Malawi, Brazil, and India.
Our patron, St. John Marie Vianney, said "The priest is not a priest for himself, he is a priest for you". He also said, "A priest goes to Heaven or a priest goes to Hell with a thousand people behind". We pray for them to save souls. What better reasons do we have than to pray for priests!
Our resolution is "to defend the Body of Christ, His Church and to guard our shepherds, His priests, against the enemies from both within and without by means of prayers and sacrifices."( PAPA Handbook, p.10)
