NEWSFLASH !! DAY 4 NOVENA TO ST GERARD MAJELLA (1726-1755) PATRON SAINT OF PREGNANT WOMEN

St. Gerard, upon leaving the home of some family friends, dropped his handkerchief.  One of the young girls in the home ran after St. Gerard to return it to him.  He told the girl, "Keep it.  One day you may need it." How prophetic a statement this was!

Years later, this girl, now a married woman, was having a very difficult childbirth.  She recalled St. Gerard, and asked that St. Gerard's handkerchief be brought to her.  Upon receiving the handkerchief, the pain stopped immediately and the childbirth went extremely well.  Word of the miracle quickly spread very wide.  Devotion to St. Gerard Majella for a happy and safe childbirth was soon to go worldwide and continues strongly even today.
