When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask for whatever I may do for you, before I am taken from you." Elisha answered, "May I receive a double portion of your spirit." (2 Kings 2:9)
When the time came for the great prophet Elijah to be taken up from this life, he told his assistant Elisha to ask him for 'anything' he desired; He put no limiting factors. Elisha boldly asked for a double portion of Elijah's spirit. God granted it to him.
Our God is generous, especially with the spiritual gifts; but we receive in proportion to our faith. Be bold when you ask.
