SATURDAY OF THE FIFTH WEEK OF EASTER, MAY 21, 2022

Responsorial Psalm 100:1b-2, 3, 5

R. (2a) Let all the earth cry out to God with joy. Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; serve the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful song. R. Let all the earth cry out to God with joy. Know that the LORD is God; he made us, his we are; his people, the flock he tends. R. Let all the earth cry out to God with joy. The LORD is good: his kindness endures forever, and his faithfulness, to all generations. R. Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

REFLECTION

Did you know that Religious priests are suppose to pray through out the day.

They pray the Liturgy of the hours. We can also pray the Liturgy of the hours as lay faithful.

This Psalm, Psalm 100 is an option for the Invitatory every morning. Before Psalm 100 on the Morning Prayers, it says 'The joyful song of those entering God's temple'. Then it says, "The Lord calls his ransomed people to sing songs of victory"(St. Athanasius). What does this help you to think about as you say the Psalm? Who is in control of your life?

To me, this Psalm is a reminder of who we are in Jesus. So many things happen throughout our days and we sometimes lose sight to the fact that in all things we do, we should do for the Lord. When I give God praise and glory it puts things in the right perspective for me. I want God to be God over my whole life.

Here is the link to our Morning Prayer from our website.

Let us give praise to God today and everyday for God is good!

God bless you!
