A Reading from St. Paul to GAL 3:22-29

Brothers and sisters: Scripture confined all things under the power of sin, that through faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe.

Before faith came, we were held in custody under law, confined for the faith that was to be revealed. Consequently, the law was our disciplinarian for Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a disciplinarian. For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.

REFLECTION

"For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ."

How many times have we heard this passage throughout our life?: "There is neither Jew or Greek..."

How much is the love that God has for us that through Baptism, we belong to Christ like St. Paul tells us above.

I am always at awe on how much God loves us. We really don't deserve this love, and even worst, many times, we don't even ask for it, or want it. And yet Our Lord is giving it to us. Giving Himself fully to us so we can be completely united to Him.

In my people's culture, sometimes when you want to give someone a very splendid gift, you actually "sell it" to them. At a very nominal fee, even a few cents, so the person that is receiving it appreciates it more.

God is not even asking a sacrifice in exchange for making us His sons or daughters. Do we appreciate the treasure that the Sacraments give to us? Do we at least "love because he first loved us." (1 Jn 4:19).

Today, let's give thanks to God for His love to us, and all the blessing He gives us every single moment of our life. And thank Him for the priests, that bring us Christ in the Sacraments of the Church.

God bless y'all!
