REFLECTION
"Proclaim God's marvelous deeds to all the nations."
Pope Pius XII instituted The Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1954. The traditional belief was unanimous in that the Mother of God, the King of Kings, is Queen of the universe. This memorial day is connected to the establishment of the Assumption as dogma in 1950 by the same pope.
As her Son came to serve and not be served, so His Mother, the Queen, also came to serve, to mediate for us and to be the intercessor for all graces. She showed us that in serving with patience and humility others are led to the King.
Salve Regina, Ave Regina Caelorum and the Regina Coeli are popular prayers to her Queenship.
PAPA prays the rosary daily. Some pray only one rosary but many pray all the mysteries of the Rosary daily. We work on the art of praying the rosary with daily contemplation and discipline of practice, study and improvement. This will bring life and salvation to the soul. And Mother Mary brings many blessings and graces when we pray the rosary.
We ponder the coronation of Mary in the fifth Glorious Mystery of the Holy Rosary.
In Revelation the description of a woman with a crown of twelve stars upon her head adorned with the sun and the moon at her feet are reminders of the role Mary plays in the redemptive work of her Son and the shared royalty.
Mary is the Patron Saint of PAPA. She is "our mama". So, without fear, approach Mary, the Queen, our mother. She will lead you to her Son, the King.
