THURSDAY OF THE TENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME, JUNE 10, 2021

A Reading from 2 Cor 3:15—4:1, 3-6

Brothers and sisters: To this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over the hearts of the children of Israel, but whenever a person turns to the Lord the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. All of us, gazing with unveiled face on the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Therefore, since we have this ministry through the mercy shown us, we are not discouraged. And even though our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled for those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they may not see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for the sake of Jesus. For God who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to bring to light the knowledge of the glory of God on the face of Jesus Christ.

REFLECTION:

"For we do not preach ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord,

and ourselves as your slaves for the sake of Jesus."

Throughout this week, we have been reading the second epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, where he tells us many of the good things God does for us: how He suffered for us; His promise and how the Holy Spirit comes to our hearts; How the Spirit gives us life; How Christ is the image of God...

Tomorrow we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Heart of Jesus. The readings will remind us of Hosea and his unfaithful wife, mirror of ourselves before God (us being the unfaithful/ungrateful ones). Paul telling us how Christ dwells in our hearts through faith. And the Gospel reminding us how blood and water flowed out of Him during the crucifixion.

Did you know that the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is the Foundation, Fount, and Founder of PAPA?

He is our ultimate Patron. Each one of us has pledged our time and lives to Him. We are encouraged to pray the Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus; and of course, pray daily, and even several times a day for our priests.

I'd like to encourage all of our gentle readers, specially, all of our PAPA members, to meet tomorrow for Holy Mass, and honor our Patron, and pray for our priests all over the world, so Jesus can keep them close to His Sacred Heart, and bless them abundantly.

Pray for our priests. Pray everyday. For their sake, for the sake of the Church, and all the souls of the people they touch everyday.

God bless y'all!
